The entry fee for the Heineken Rugby 7s Festival is €500. The entry fee covers event entry for 12 players and one manager.
All payments for team registration will made via EFT once you have logged your registration.
Kinsale 7's strongly encourages Elite Mens teams to enter this prestigious competition. Generally, we would expect Elite Men’s teams to consist of National league players, and either already or planning to compete on the 7s circuit. This competition is intended for those teams, typically from Senior and Junior Clubs or Universities, who wish to enjoy a competitive standard of 7’s rugby and a chance to win a cash prize, which are available to the top 4 placed teams. The competition takes place over the Saturday and Sunday, with pool play on Saturday and knockout sections on Sunday.
This men’s competition is for teams who travel to Kinsale primarily to enjoy the festival atmosphere and play some enjoyable 7’s rugby. Fancy dress and imaginative team strip are encouraged in this highly popular section. There is a trophy for the winners and a prize donated by the tournament director. Play will be in pools of 4 on Saturday (3 games guaranteed) and knockout on Sunday competing for the Social Cup. There is a Plate competition on Sunday for those who don’t make the cut for the Cup.
This section is intended for Ladies teams at Club level, or invitation teams, who compete regularly. Play will be across both Saturday and Sunday and will include both Pool Play and knockout competitions.
This popular section is for those Ladies teams who wish to enjoy the festival and play some rugby on both Saturday and Sunday. As with the Mens Social, imaginative team attire is encouraged and adds to the festival atmosphere. Ladies Social teams play in pools on Saturday, and pool winners will go through to a knockout Ladies Social Cup on Sunday. There is a Plate competition on Sunday for those who do not qualify for the Cup competition.
