The Heineken Kinsale 7s rugby Festival is an annual 7s rugby festival in Kinsale, Cork, Ireland. The 2020 event takes place on the 2nd & 3rd May. This will be the 32nd year of running this event.
How did it all start? Well, like many things in life, it started modestly - in 1998 with only 12 teams, but such was the enthusiasm of all who participated, there was no going back! Nowadays we have in excess of 80 teams playing in various mens and ladies tournaments throughout the weekend making it Ireland’s largest rugby 7's tournament.
Cashless is a method of payment that helps improve the event experience. You’ll spend less time in queues, less time worrying about cash, less time concerned with fraud and theft, and most importantly, more time enjoying the event! Your wristband acts as your wallet.
Yes! We highly recommend you do to beat the queues on-site. To do so, visit kinsale7s.com and click the ‘Purchase Cashless Funds’ button. Create an account using your ticket number and purchase any cashless vouchers you require using your credit or debit card. When you scan your ticket to get into the tournament, the credit you purchased online will be transferred to your wristband, which will be given to you at the entrance.
You will receive your wristband when you arrive at the event and scan your ticket.
You can log into your account and purchase cashless vouchers at your leisure. Any funds purchased will be automatically available on your wristband immediately after you have bought them. If you didn't register pre-event, don’t worry - it’s very quick to register and you can enter your wristband UID if you didn't hang on to your ticket.
There will be clearly-marked top-up booths on-site where you can load funds onto your wristband using cash or debit/credit card.
Simply tap your wristband at any of the outlets at the venue to pay for your order and the amount due will be deducted.
No, cashless will be the only payment method for this event.
You can log into your cashless account at any time to check your live balance or request a balance check when you make a transaction or at a top-up point.
If your wristband is lost or stolen, you can get a replacement. However, please keep in mind that your wristband is similar to cash. This means we can issue a new wristband, but your credit will be lost.
No, your credit is not transferable.
You can claim back any unused funds online up to the value of €220 per wristband. To cash out, sign in or register for an account at kinsale7s.justtappit.com, and select ‘Cash Out’. If you didn’t register your wristband before the tournament, you will be asked to link your wristband and provide card details to complete the cashout. There is a charge of €1 per cashout request and minimum balance required to request a cashout is €2. You can link a maximum of 5 wristbands to the same account. Cashout will open at 9am on Wednesday 6th May and close at 23:59pm on Sunday 10th May.
The wristband will be valid until 10th May, when cashout closes.
The wristband will still be accepted should you have funds on it. However, you are welcome to collect another wristband free of charge at the entrance to the tournament. Your wristband is water-resistant.
If you have further questions, ask any of the cashless staff at the tournament. If you require further information, send an email to cashless@kinsale7s.com.
