Projecx Waterboys from Scotland were crowned 2018 Heineken Kinsale 7s Champions for the second year in a row, defeating Speranza22 by 36-12. Railway Union won the HayesCaravan Services Women’s Trophy beating WRR Ravens 22-7 and King Prawns won the Men’s Open competition, beating Session Motts 36-0.
Celebrating its 30 th anniversary this year, the Heineken Kinsale 7s is Ireland’s largest rugby 7s tournament and builds on its success each year. Over 60 teams and supporters enjoyed great running rugby and the huge festival atmosphere in Kinsale RFC and in the town over the May Bank Holiday weekend.

Additional partners include Hayes Caravan Services, Sponsor of the Women’s Competition and are helping create an exciting new layout for the Heineken Kinsale 7s this year as Festihuts provided on-site accommodation for teams.
Charity partners are St. Gabriel’s School in Bishopstown, Cork – a special school catering for pupils aged 4-18 years with severe to profound intellectual disability and additional medical conditions.
Funds raised at the Heineken Kinsale 7s will contributed to much needed recreational and sports facilities.
